The artist Ahmed Halawa is the nephew of the artist Fayez Halawa, and he obtained a bachelor’s degree from the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts specializing in acting and directing from the Academy of Arts in Cairo in 1973. He also obtained a postgraduate diploma at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts with a specialization in directing in 1990, and obtained a doctorate in Philosophy of Arts from the University of Theatrical Art and Cinema in Bucharest in Romania, and its topic was (Comedy Directing Techniques in Contemporary Egyptian Theatre) in 1994, and he taught theater sciences at the Faculty of Arts, Helwan University.
