In her publication, which carried a picture of her embracing her late father, Raya indicated that she chose not to announce the news until late, to live in grief alone and bear the feelings of mourning with her small family and brothers only.
Raya commented on the loss of her father on August 4 with a picture of her cuddling with him, saying: “Hello everyone. Thank you all for sending me messages to check why I’ve been away from social media for so long.”
Raya added, “My father, whom everyone loved, died suddenly on the 4th of August, and my brothers and I needed a special time to grieve. I will be back here soon. Love to all…Riya.”
