She added that the woman was shocked and terrified as a shark approached her while she was swimming in the water in Hurghada, noting that the body was taken to the hospital morgue and the prosecution was notified, which took over the investigation.

Two years ago, a shark attacked 3 people, including tourists, on the shores of the Red Sea, south of Sinai in Egypt.

The Ministry of Environment stated that three people were attacked by a shark while practicing surface swimming near the Shark Reef diving area in Ras Mohammed Nature Reserve, which resulted in injuries.

It revealed that the attacking shark is an oceanic white-fin shark, estimated at regarding two meters in size, and is aggressive towards humans.
