The deadly earthquake in Turkey was felt across almost the entire Middle East

(CNN Spanish) — The strong earthquake of magnitude 7.8 on the Richter scale, which struck Turkey during the early hours of this Monday, is already classified as one of the strongest earthquakes recorded in that country in more than 100 years.

The earthquake, which occurred at 4:17 am (local time), has left at least more than 2,000 people dead in Turkey and Syriathe two countries most affected following the telluric movement, and thousands more injured.

As its epicenter was 23 kilometers east of Nurdagi, in the Turkish province of Gaziantep, the earthquake was highly noticeable in Syria, a country that is close to that area.

However, the earthquake was so strong that it was felt beyond, in places as far away as Lebanon or Israel.

Look at the places where the earthquake was felt.
