The deadline for submission of nomination papers for general elections is over

Political upheaval continues across the country, today was the last day to submit nomination papers for the general elections 2024. The time for submission of nomination papers for the general elections scheduled on February 8 next year has expired. The deadline for submission of nomination papers was up to 4:30 pm today, which has expired.

The Election Commission officials say that the time for submission of nomination papers has not been increased, the papers will be received from the candidates present in the premises of ARO and DAO offices.

PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif today submitted nomination papers from National Assembly Constituency NA-130 from Lahore while Khurram Dastgir Khan submitted papers for NA-78 Gujranwala seat.

Dr. Yasmin Rashid from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf also submitted his papers from NA-130 while Iqbal Ahmed Khan from People’s Party, Sufi Khaliq and Ahmed Butt from Jamaat-e-Islami and Maulana Salimullah Qadri from JUI. Submit nominations.

Chairman People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari submitted nomination papers from NA 194 Larkana while Vice Chairman PTI Shah Mahmood Qureshi also submitted nomination papers from NA 150 Multan.

Zain Qureshi and Mehrabano Qureshi also submitted nomination papers from NA-150 while former foreign minister Hanarbani Khar submitted nomination papers from NA-180 Kot Addo.

MQM Pakistan convener Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has also submitted nomination papers for NA 249 seat from Karachi, MQM chief also submitted nomination papers from NA 248 and NA 250.

The Election Commission says that the hearing related to the objections to the constituencies will be held after the elections.

It should be noted that the High Courts have sent 15 cases of constituencies back to the Election Commission.
