The day has come! Netflix to suspend Marvel series after March 1 | Anue Hugh – US Stocks

Netflix (NFLX-US) users found out that Marvel shows are about to exit the Netflix streaming service.

Netflix users spotted a message on the platform notifying subscribers of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Tekken, The Punisher and The Defenders of Marvel The series is only available until March 1.

The shows, released between 2015 and 2019, were produced before Disney decided to launch its own streaming service. Netflix’s license to air these films has expired, and the rights have returned to Disney (DIS-US)。

It’s unclear when Disney will begin airing these Marvel shows, or whether Disney will air them on Disney+ alongside other Marvel content, or through Hulu.

Previously, the contract signed by Netflix and Disney stipulated that after the cancellation of the four Marvel series, Marvel must wait for two years to use the Marvel characters that have appeared in the original Netflix series. But now that term has ended, so Daredevil star Charlie Cox could also appear as Daredevil in Disney-produced Spider-Man 3.
