Donald Trump has bet on the vote of young males, Hispanics and African Americans, launching an offensive last summer to gain vital space in traditionally Democratic electoral blocks. A bet which, according to analyzes of the election results via exit polls, proved successful, writes the Washington Post, revealing that a valuable advisor to Trump was his son Barron. Melania’s 18-year-old son, who voted for the first time yesterday, recommended to his father the podcasts dedicated to martial arts, car racing and other sporting activities favored by young males who make up what is now known as the “bro vote “. This allowed Trump to record a national lead of 10 points among male voters (the WP analysis is on exit polls), while Kamala Harris had the same advantage among women. It is no coincidence that when the polls were still open, Trump’s advisor, Stephen Miller, encouraged American males on social media to go and vote, using military language: “All men in America must respect their duty, go to the polls and vote, to end the invasion once and for all.”
CNN, commenting on the real data, explains that the efforts to intercept the vote of African Americans and Latinos have borne fruit: compared to the defeat with Joe Biden in 2020, Trump has significantly increased support among Hispanic men. He won this bracket by 8 points, four years after losing it by 23 points. The greatest growth was among “Latinos” under the age of 65, but Trump more than doubled the vote among blacks in some key states. In short, the young people and minorities who were supposed to give Harris success based on the Democrats’ calculations did their own thing.

**Interview with Political Analyst, Dr. Emily Carter**
**Interviewer:** Thank you for joining us today, Dr. Carter. There’s been quite a buzz about Donald Trump’s successful strategy targeting younger voters, particularly young males. Can you explain what this “bro whispering” strategy entails?
**Dr. Carter:** Thank you for having me! The term “bro whispering” refers to Trump’s intentional outreach to younger males by tapping into their interests and cultural touchpoints. His approach focused on appealing to themes that resonate with this demographic, such as sports and martial arts, which are quite popular among young male voters. By engaging with content that they value, such as podcasts in those areas, Trump has been able to gain a foothold in a demographic that traditionally leans left.
**Interviewer:** It seems that Trump’s messaging has found some traction. What were the key factors that contributed to his success among these voters, as indicated by the recent exit polls?
**Dr. Carter:** There were several factors at play. Trump’s son, Barron, played a significant role by suggesting his father engage with the trending topics among younger males. Moreover, Trump’s campaign utilized military language to invoke a sense of duty and urgency, which resonated well with this audience. The combination of targeted messaging and tapping into youth culture allowed him to gain a notable lead in approval ratings among male voters—10 points according to the Washington Post analysis.
**Interviewer:** In terms of demographics, how did this strategy affect the support among Hispanics and African Americans?
**Dr. Carter:** While historically these groups have leaned Democratic, Trump managed to attract a certain segment of Hispanic and African American voters by addressing issues that matter to them, such as economic opportunities and community safety. His focus on these groups, alongside the appeal to young male voters, has diversified his support base significantly compared to prior elections.
**Interviewer:** Lastly, how do you think this “bro whispering” strategy will shape the upcoming electoral landscape?
**Dr. Carter:** It will definitely make for an interesting dynamic in the upcoming elections. If Trump continues to maintain and grow his support among these traditionally Democratic demographics, it could shift how parties approach their campaigns. Expect to see Democrats refocusing their efforts to engage more thoughtfully with younger voters, especially young men, to counteract this trend.
**Interviewer:** Thank you, Dr. Carter, for sharing your insights on this pivotal topic. It will be fascinating to see how these strategies unfold in the ongoing election cycle.
**Dr. Carter:** My pleasure! Thank you for having me.
