BMW has just lifted the veil on its Next Generation M2, real M4 Coupe in reduction. The propeller brand’s ultra-sporty compact coupé surprised everyone with its design, which is very different in detail from that of recent models in the range. It displays as it should a muscular silhouette with widened fenders, but above all it sports a front end with slightly confusing square details.
This M2 already does not lack air in its normal version, especially since it develops 460 horsepower via its 3.0-litre turbocharged inline six-cylinder (39 more than the 2.0-litre 4-cylinder of a Mercedes -AMG A45 S and 60 more than the 2.5-litre 5-cylinder in the Audi RS 3). But as for the M4, BMW will market a kit of “Performance Parts” including body parts much more radical still.
Big fixed spoiler and monstrous tailpipes
As you can see in the images, the M2 equipped with these elements seems to have come straight from a tuner’s workshop. It receives even more aggressive shields, specific rims, numerous aerodynamic deflectors and a large fixed spoiler. The icing on the cake, the large quad exhaust outlets would make a Honda Civic Type R for a peaceful family rental. For the moment, we do not know the price of these spectacular elements.
