The Danish Prime Minister comments on the “Nord Stream” leaks… Do you consider it a declaration of war?

(CNN) — Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said, Tuesday, during a press release, that Denmark regards the Nord Stream pipeline leak as “deliberate actions.”

The Danish prime minister’s comments follow the discovery of three leaks in the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipelines near the Danish island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea.

“We don’t see a direct military threat once morest Denmark,” Frederiksen added.

When asked by a reporter if she considered the incident a declaration of war, Frederiksen replied, “No,” her office said.

The office of Danish Energy Minister Dan Jorgensen confirmed, on Tuesday, that “our assessment was that the cause of the leaks was not accidents, but explosions.”

Jorgensen added that the damaged pipelines are between 70 and 80 meters deep, and he expects the gas leak on Nord Stream to last “at least a week,” according to his office.
