Up to 793,000 spectators were there on Friday when all seven remaining “Dancing Stars” couples, who together with their loved ones provided special moments in Austria’s most glamorous ballroom, moved into the next show, which will take place following Easter on the ORF-Program stands.
“Family and friends”
An average of 688,000 viewers followed the extremely emotional show with a market share of 27 percent. Under the motto “Family & Friends” it became particularly familiar. The seven couples who are still dancing for victory were given the task of incorporating a member of their family or a friend into their choreography and dance. From father, husband, friend to the former winner of the “Dancing Stars” everyone was represented.
But the jury around Balázs Ekker and Maria Angelini-Santner once more received prominent support from Amira Pocher. The daughter of a dance teacher made it to the semifinals of the German edition of “Dancing Stars” – “Let’s Dance” – and is now known as a presenter, podcaster and entrepreneur.
Nobody had to leave the show this time, but the candidates still had to make an effort, because all the points from the jury, the calls and text messages were carried over to the next show.
Excite father and friend
Corinna Kamper & Danilo Campisi performed first. Corinna floated over the with her dad Karl Kamper ORFstage and wowed the female jury members in particular with a cha-cha-cha to Miley Cyrus’ current hit “Flowers”.
Lucas Fendrich and his friend David Jakob, who had rehearsed a Quickstep together with professional dancer Lenka Pohoralek, also had a lot of fun and joy. Juror Balázs Ekker also shared the enthusiasm of the audience and liked the choreography that had been rehearsed.
Emotion, tears and a wedding dance

Eveline Eselböck danced with one of her granddaughters Magdalena. They rehearsed a Viennese waltz, which was well received by the jury. Balázs, who criticized Eveline and her dance partner Peter Erlbeck in the first shows, praised Peter for his choreography and found that it had been her best dance so far.

Omar Khir Alanam danced the Paso Doble with his girlfriend Fanny Famos, including a spectacular lifting figure. After his performance, Omar, who has not seen his Syrian family for eleven years, told how his new friends in Austria became his family of choice.
