The celebrity squad for the new “Dancing Stars” season is complete! Comedian Paulus Bohl (from the Dr. Bohl duo), ex-politician and entrepreneur Eva Glawischnig, ex-tennis professional Stefan Koubek, businesswoman Simone Lugner, presenter and performance trainer Heilwig Pfanzelter and content creator Anna Strigl are now the ten prominent starters for “ Dancing Stars 2025” fixed. They will dance alongside Julia Cencig, Aaron Karl, Wolfgang “Fifi” Pissecker and Andi Wojta at the 16th season of the ORF-1 dance event in Austria’s most dazzling ballroom from March 2025. We are currently looking for two new professionals – every Friday at 8:15 p.m. on ORF 1 and on ORF ON “Dancing Stars – Das Casting” the exciting selection is in full swing. After the grand finale on December 6th, it will be clear who will compete with one of the ten prominent dancers.

Six more celebrities complete the “Dancing Stars”

“When I appeared on ORF shows, I always joked about whether it was finally enough for ‘Dancing Stars’ – and at some point it seemed like that was the case,” says Paulus Bohl (from the Duo Dr. Bohl). “I was really happy and am incredibly excited to see what it is like to stand in the endless expanse of the ballroom, which I have of course known since childhood.” Does the comedian have any dance experience? “Of course I went to dance school, as befits a 17-year-old good Viennese boy, and then all I did was do casual bar-side steps in clubs.”

Eva Glawischnig’s first reaction to the “Dancing Stars” request? “Shortness of breath and a racing heart – but of course I’m looking forward to this challenge, because basically dancing is about joy: both for the audience, for the professionals and for us participants.” What connection the ex-politician and entrepreneur has to dancing ? “I’m starting from scratch and hoping for so-called puppy protection. I play the piano and have musical hands, but incredibly unmusical feet – even our wedding waltz was a special experience for my husband.”

“I’ve thought about the possibility of taking part in ‘Dancing Stars’ a few times, even though I’m pretty far away from dancing. Now it has fit perfectly into my schedule – so I’m heading into uncertain waters, which only makes my horizons bigger,” says ex-tennis professional Stefan Koubek happily. “I even think I can dance, but I’ve never tried it. I have a lot of respect, but I’m looking forward to everything – it’ll definitely be fun, you’ll get to know other people, and who knows, maybe I’ll even go dancing afterwards.”

“Wow,” was Simone Lugner’s first reaction when she was asked if she would like to be part of “Dancing Stars”. “’Dancing Stars’ is something that Richard always really liked and would certainly have liked to be a part of.” And further about her previous dance experience: “I took a basic course twice, but that was a long time ago. My problem is that I always tend to take the lead – in that sense I hope to get a strong partner to take the lead.”

“Great, I’ll join in straight away,” says presenter and performance trainer Heilwig Pfanzelter happily. “I’ve been looking for a dance school since ‘Impulstanz’ in the summer – and then this request came and I immediately said yes. Language and appearance are my domain, dance is the language of the body.” And further: “Dancing is something completely new for me, but I am convinced that I will learn it. And now I have the best dance school in the world here. I’m really excited about ‘Dancing Stars’ and hope that I can dance my way into people’s hearts with my dance partner, who I’m really looking forward to.”

How content creator Anna Strigl responded to the request? “Grandma will be very happy – she is the dance leader for a senior dance group and a big ‘Dancing Stars’ fan.” And further: “My dancing experience is not that great. I took a few courses for my high school prom – but I have good basic athleticism and a lot of fighting spirit, even if I’m perhaps not as experienced in dancing as some others. I’m all the more looking forward to the challenge of showing what’s possible, even though you may not be very good at it yet. And of course the outfits.”
