The two-day 26 and 27/09/2024 activities for the children’s groups of the Greek High School of Patras dedicated to the Customs of the Harvest took place with success and wide participation, giving creativity, teamwork and experientiality to the start of the new academic year.
In the context of the creative two-day event, the children came into contact in an understandable and demonstrative way with the folkloric parameters of the agricultural economy of the vineyard, they had fun with dances and songs of the harvest, they traveled mentally with folk tales about grapes and wine told by the person in charge part of a folk tale Dimitra Nikolopoulou and expressed themselves artistically with group visual creations on the subject of the vine organized by the head of the Visual Arts Department Maria Stergiopoulou.
The aim of the planned activities is to acquaint the children with aspects of folk tradition in an experiential and creative way related to life in nature and the cycle of time.
“We are waiting for you again this year to dance, sing, tell stories and create! Always with love for the child and tradition!”, says a statement.
