The Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration announced today, Tuesday, that, starting next Monday, April 15, a new work organization will be adopted aimed at ensuring the continuity of customs services at the Tangier Med Port.
The administration stated, in a report seen by Agadir 24, that this measure, which was taken in consultation with the port authorities and the private sector, comes in line with the policy of keeping up with contracting adopted by the Customs Administration, adding that, starting from the aforementioned date, it will be possible to complete all customs operations at the port of Tangier. Average at any time of the day, all days of the week.
According to the same communication, this measure aims to enhance the smoothness of customs clearance processes for goods and reduce their transit times through customs, with the aim of supporting the competitiveness of exporting companies, as well as actors in the field of international transportation of goods.
In order to make this approved procedure for the benefit of enterprises a success, the Customs Administration has taken all necessary measures to mobilize and strengthen the numbers of its employees within the fold of this port, while adapting its work organization, in response to the requirements of the new situation of work progress.
On this occasion, the Customs and Indirect Taxes Department called on all economic operators to organize themselves in accordance with these new procedures, so that the efforts made by everyone bear fruit.
