The customers misunderstand what Sanyanee offers in her massage clinic: – It happens several times a week

This is often the reaction when Sanyanee Chanprom has finished giving a wellness massage in her clinic in Aalbæk. The male customers often think that she also offers “extra services” – such as a hand job.

Therefore, Sanyanee Chanprom decided to take the bull by the horns and make a post on Facebook, where she stated the problem.

– I decided to make the post because it happens so often that there is a customer who has misunderstood what I do and what I offer, says Sanyanee Chanprom, who has lived in Denmark for five years.

A question of prejudice

Sanyanee Chanprom can laugh at the many misunderstandings, and fortunately no customers have gotten angry when she has rejected their desire for a sexual service, but it is annoying when it happens several times a week, she says.

– Customers often write and call me to ask if more than just massage is included when you book an appointment – but it is not, she emphasizes.

Sanyanee Chanprom herself believes that the misunderstandings stem from the prejudices many people have. That when you mention the word Thai massage, or simply when it is a woman from Thailand who gives a massage, many people think that after the massage there is a so-called “happy ending”.

Customers pass wedding photos

The massage clinic is located in Sanyanee’s own home in Aalbæk, which she shares with her husband. Before the customers enter the clinic, they also pass the couple’s wedding photos.

Therefore, it can sometimes surprise both Sanyanee and her husband that customers still think she offers sexual services.

– I can also sometimes get a little nervous on Sanyanee’s behalf when a male customer comes, says Sanyanee’s husband.

The couple hopes that their posting on Facebook will help to avoid too many misunderstandings in the future, and perhaps also to prick the prejudices many Danes have about Thai masseurs.
