The cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Korea has surpassed 20 million.
This means that 2 out of 5 Koreans have a history of COVID-19.

The infection reproduction index is an index that quantifies how many people a patient infects nearby people. If it is more than 1, it means that the epidemic spreads, and if it is less than 1, it means that the epidemic is suppressed.
As there is still time until midnight, when the counting ends, the number of new confirmed cases announced on the 3rd is expected to increase to around 120,000.
On this day, the interim count of new confirmed cases was 66,658 (52.6%) in the metropolitan area and 54,653 (47.4%) in non-metropolitan areas.
