The state administrator in Trøndelag states that the county tour will start with a visit to Selbu, where the crown prince couple will visit a secondary school and cultural school, before there will be various activities in Årsøya Leisure Park.
In Malvik municipality on the same day, the crown prince couple will also meet local youth and visit the Johan Nygaardsvold Museum and the Øya sports complex.
Open park for everyone
On Wednesday 11 September there is a program in Midtre Gauldal municipality before the county tour ends in Trondheim municipality on Thursday 12 September.
In Trondheim, there will be an open park and entertainment at Stiftsgården.
– Parts of the park will be open to anyone who wants to welcome the crown prince couple in Trondheim, writes the state manager.
The first time in a merged Trøndelag
This will be the first royal county trip to Trøndelag after the two former counties Sør-Trøndelag and Nord-Trøndelag were merged into one in 2018.
All the municipalities on the program this year are located within the area that was formerly Sør-Trøndelag county.
The Crown Prince couple have also been on a county tour in both of the two former counties
Their very first county trip took place in 2001 and went through three counties: Oppland, Sør-Trøndelag and Møre og Romsdal. In September 2017, the crown prince and crown princess were in Nord-Trøndelag.
