The Crédit Agricole du Maroc Group and SOWIT seal a partnership to better support farmers

The Crédit Agricole Group of Morocco (CAM) and SOWIT signed, on Tuesday, a partnership agreement aimed at mobilizing remote sensing and artificial intelligence technologies for the benefit of farmers and agricultural sectors.

The partners have thus come together to design and deploy a set of solutions aimed at better understanding the needs of farmers and offering them services adapted to their contexts via analyzes using remote sensing tools for their plots, indicates the Banking group in a press release.

This collaboration will revolve around agronomic and environmental scoring solutions, field surveys and geo-referencing of CAM’s client and prospect farmers, but also digital agricultural advice by making SOWIT technologies available to CAM, reports the same source.

Thus, reports the MAP, SOWIT will support the CAM in improving the knowledge of its farmer customers, in particular through its expertise in factual analysis of an agricultural project by remote sensing and artificial intelligence, its expertise in mapping and geo-referencing of plots and its plot monitoring solutions.

Thanks to this, the CAM will be able to make the best use of the levers offered by Agritech solutions, for better adaptation of investment and financing to the specificities of the field and better advice for farmers, says the Group.

This partnership is fully in line with the strategy of the Crédit Agricole Group in Morocco, which has developed a bouquet of digital solutions to offer farmers innovative products and applications, streamline their financial transactions and work effectively for the digitization of value chains and the agricultural ecosystem.
