Atomic Heart, Mundfish’s cold war robot shooter, will borrow many gameplay elements and content from RPGs. The latest screenshot shared by the developers on social media allows us to take a look at the skill tree.
As the guys at Mundfish themselves explain, the skill tree in Atomic Heart will help make the gameplay more intense, giving the user the opportunity to “kill robots in any way he wants.” The dismemberment of enemies, on the other hand, will be at the heart of Atomic Heart’s looting and crafting system: unlocking the most advanced weapon and equipment modifications for one’s alter ego will take place with the help of mechanical and electronic components torn from killer cyborgs, such as the neuropolymers mentioned in the screenshot below.
Resource management will therefore be a central aspect of the adventures to be experienced as you explore the military and scientific complex, which will be the backdrop for Special Agent P-3’s fantasy odyssey. Atomic Heart launches February 21 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S and will be added to the catalog of games available “free” to Game Pass subscribers on PC and Xbox consoles from day one.
