The court stopped the criminal case on the fact of beating Dmitry Solovyov due to the reconciliation of the parties – Figure Skating

The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow dismissed the criminal case on the fact of beating the Russian figure skater Dmitry Solovyov due to the reconciliation of the parties.

“The court decided to satisfy the petition of the representative of the victim. A criminal case on charges of Smirnov Vladislav Igorevich and Yakovtsev Vladislav Mikhailovich each of committing a crime under paragraphs “d”, “e”, part 2 of Art. 112 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Infliction of harm to health of moderate severity by a group of persons out of hooligan motives”), terminate in connection with reconciliation with the victim.

The preventive measure chosen by the defendant should be canceled by releasing from custody in the courtroom.

In court, the representative of the victim indicated that Smirnov and Yakovtsev offered their sincere apologies to the victim and actively repented of their deeds, fully made amends for the harm caused to the victim, ”the court document says.

Solovyov was beaten on the night of December 21 last year in the center of Moscow following standing up for his girlfriend. After the beating, he was taken to the hospital with a head injury.
