Daniela Carbone

Lawyer Carbone, who passed away on January 12th, left a great void in her family, in the legal community and in the local social context. Daniela’s father, Leonardo Carbone, was in the past president of the Bar Association, and his passing also profoundly affected the world of the Ascoli legal profession and beyond, given that she was also very involved in social work.

An oil portrait of the lawyer Carbone, created by the painter Marisa Korzeniecki, was displayed in the council chamber which now bears her name. During the ceremony, the president of the Bar Association, Paolo Travaglini, recalled with very heartfelt words the commitment, dedication and passion that Daniela Carbone has demonstrated in the professional and personal sphere: «With this dedication, we celebrate not only the Daniela’s career, but also her perseverance and commitment, which have distinguished her both in her profession and in her family and social life. This council chamber is a tangible symbol of the affection and esteem that the entire Council and colleagues feel for her, and is also intended to be an example for future generations of lawyers.”

Travaglini then addressed Daniela’s children and parents directly, quoting a proverb: “In life, it is not the steps you take that count, nor the shoes you use, but the footprints you leave.”

He underlined how Daniela left an indelible mark on all those who had the honor of knowing her: “Today you have further confirmation of the immense respect and affection she aroused, and this is a source of great pride for you.”

The courtroom named after Francesca Morvillo, victim of the mafia together with her husband, judge Giovanni Falcone, and their escort, was packed with people who had come to remember Daniela Carbone. Among those who spoke, the president of the Court of Ascoli Luigi Cirillo, the president of the Carisap Foundation Maurizio Frascarelli, the mayor of Ascoli Marco Fioravanti, the former president of the Order Tommaso Pietropaolo and Romina Pica, president of the Soroptimist . Also offering their tribute were the lawyer Francesca Palma, representing the National Forensic Council, and the professor Maurizio Cinelli, president of the Marche section of the “Domenico Napoletano” National Center for Labor Law Studies.
