Over the past week, the news regarding Indra Bekti grab the public’s attention. The famous presenter fainted in the bathroom and was rushed to the hospital. It turned out that the man who is familiarly called Bekti had a brain hemorrhage and underwent two major surgeries.

Nearly a week of outpatient treatment, the cost of treatment has reached Rp. 1 billion. Family and friends of fellow artists also helped the Bekti family.

Because of the ongoing and increasingly swollen treatment costs, Indra Bekti’s wife, Aldila Jelitaopen a fundraiser.

The open donation reaped controversy. Most people disagree because Indra Bekti’s profession is as an artist and he should sell existing assets. There were various responses that Aldila Jelita got for revealing regarding the open donation.

His brother-in-law, Komo Ricky, also provided clarification. Actually the fundraising was not for the general public but at the beginning the plan was for artists only.

“He said at first it wasn’t necessary, don’t do it, don’t do that,” said Komo Ricky in the clarification video he made, as seen by detik.com.

When Aldila revealed regarding the fundraising, his condition was indeed chaotic. Bekti’s wife met the media crew for the first time following news that her husband had a brain hemorrhage.

“Raised funds for fellow artists. Yes, because Dilla was the one who said the wrong perception,” he said.

“The situation was also really chaotic that day. Because it was the first day of Dilla’s preskon too, right, so he was also confused,” continued Komo Ricky.

Since the beginning of fundraising, artist friends have initiated it. The artist’s friends wanted to open a fundraiser because they saw the figure of Indra Bekti who always entertained many people.

“At first, artist friends wanted to raise funds because we know that Kak Bekti is a very kind person, she is very cheerful, she brings a cheerful atmosphere wherever she is. Many people love her. That’s why there was a movement on the first day , ‘Let’s raise funds,’ because the costs are (large),” he said.

Meanwhile, Aldila Jelita emphasized that she opened a fundraiser for various reasons. There was an insurance claim that was rejected because he had only attended for 6 months, did not choose BPJS insurance, the cost of surgery to treatment was quite expensive at Abdi Waluyo Hospital so he needed further treatment.

Now Indra Bekti’s condition has improved and he can speak once more. Even Bekti can joke with his wife and younger siblings.

Most likely, Bekti will have to undergo treatment at the hospital for the next 20 days.
