The parents of the city of Kiryat Motzkin are deeply concerned following the news that the brothers Shlomi and Oren Corrido, who were convicted of pedophilia, rented an apartment together on Bar Ilan Street in the city. Posts and photos were circulated on social media regarding their presence on various streets in the city.

Concerned residents contacted the incoming mayor, Tsiki Avisher, and asked for his intervention. “It turns out that the Corrido brothers came all the way to our neighborhood and signed a lease with the landlord,” said a resident of the Pentagon neighborhood. “When they arrived, there was someone who immediately recognized them, and following a short check on the Internet, the great fear also turned out to be true, these are the two brothers who were previously convicted of child pedophilia.
“There are a lot of children here who live close to the boulevard, and there is no great fear of that. The rumor that turned out to be true spread like wildfire, and there was a great panic here.”

A resident of the neighborhood said: “The house they rented is a few meters from a kindergarten, how come there is no law that prohibits such a thing? In the US, a sex offender is not allowed to live closer than 6 meters from a school or kindergarten.”
Following the inquiries, the mayor of the city, Tsiki Avisher, issued a message to the residents: “I received inquiries from residents regarding the moving of the Corrido brothers’ apartment to Kiryat Motzkin. I contacted the owner of the apartment who specifically informed me that he does not intend to continue the lease agreement with them and that the apartment will be vacated immediately. The owner of the apartment Apparently he was not aware of the Corrido brothers’ past, until the mayor’s appeal.”
Avisher further clarified to the residents: “When I assumed the position of the head of the authority, I made it a priority to increase the sense of security among the residents of the city. The public space in Motzkin will remain safe.”
Many residents announced that until the moment the Corrido brothers, who are defined as sex inspectors, leave the city, they will not let their children roam the public space and some even called on the Internet for other residents to behave like them. And some even offered to hold a demonstration outside their house to find out that they are indeed leaving the city.
“Yesterday, all day long, the neighbors complained to the municipal hotline, and a car passed by every half hour on the street,” said a resident of the neighborhood. “At night, the school neighbors gathered under their house so that they would understand that they are not welcome in the neighborhood.”
