The World Health Organization revealed, “The Corona virus remains a global emergency, nearly two and a half years following it was first declared.”
And the emergency committee of the international organization explained in a statement that “the increasing cases, the continuous viral development and the pressure on health services in a number of countries means that the situation is still an emergency.”
The statement also indicated that “cases reported to the World Health Organization increased by 30% in the past two weeks,” despite the committee’s recognition that the population’s immunity had increased greatly from vaccines.
For his part, the Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, agreed with the advice of the committee, warning that “the Corona epidemic is not even near its end.”
