A new leak has just taken place regarding the next generation Core, Raptor Lake Refresh. We have information on frequencies, number of cores and performance.
The Core i9-14900K is emerging as Intel’s next showcase while the Core i7-14700K gains in equipment with 20 cores instead of 16 cores present on the current Core i7-13700K.

These two chips were tested under CrossMark with only 16 GB of DDR5-4800 and a GeForce RTX 4090. It is likely that the final balance will be higher knowing that Raptor Lake Refresh’s potential native support is DDR5 6400 MHz.

In terms of performance, on average the Core i9-14900K is 14 to 20% faster than the Core i7-14700K. On the other hand, faced with the current Core i9-13900K, it is likely that this Core i9-14900K is not yet giving its best.
Rumor has it that Intel will launch this new line of desktop processors in October. The announcement might be made in September during the Innovation event.
