As revealed by La Silla Vacía, Alcocer has a personal makeup and wardrobe artist, a professional photographer, her best friend and a personal advisor. Some of them have higher salaries than a minister and are hired through public entities. Salaries would be between 10 and 30 million pesos per month.

In the letter they detail that Alcocer, as the spouse of the president, Gustavo Petro, fulfills a social function “according to the jurisprudence of the Constitutional Court, the Council of State and the Department of Public Service Administration, empowering her to perform protocol tasks and lead initiatives in matters of social assistance and public charity,” the statement indicates.
In the text they also explain that as first lady it is her duty to “address issues such as poverty, education or health” in addition to supporting specific causes, so her objective is to recover the social fabric.
