Executive DIRECTOR of Election Development for Democracy (Perludem) Khoirunnisa Nur Agustyati hopes that the Constitutional Court (MK) views the presidential election dispute trial as not just a matter of scoring presidential candidates.

It is known that presidential candidate number one Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar (National Team AMIN), and candidate pair number 3 Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud Md reported to the Constitutional Court regarding the results of the 2024 presidential election.

Ninis, as she is known, believes that the Constitutional Court needs to look at the series of events before the election voting stage. According to him, the current presidential election figures or results are due to problems such as the politicization of social assistance and allegations of manipulation of the election process.

“I hope that the Constitutional Court will not only look at the numbers obtained, but we need to look at the events before the election, it feels like these numbers might appear because there is a series of issues regarding the politicization of social assistance, this happened during the election, then the manipulation or stages of the election,” said Ninis, in the discussion together with Election Guard, Monday (1/4).

Ninis also questioned the clarity regarding the status of the Chairman of the Indonesian KPU, who had been given a final stern warning by the Election Organizer Honorary Council (DKPP).

“When the organizers were given the final stern warning, it should have ended, but instead it went on in volumes, so it’s natural for us to question the professionalism of the election organizers themselves,” he said.

Ninis emphasized that this election was far from professionalism, and was actually increasingly backward. Talking regarding independence, Ninis sees that the KPU cannot decide independently regarding election policies.

In fact, said Ninis, there is a Constitutional Court decision which states that this decision must be made independently without fear of other institutions. (Z-8)
