The Constitution of Pakistan guarantees the rights of all minorities: President

President Asif Ali Zardari has issued a message on the occasion of Easter saying that the Constitution of Pakistan guarantees the rights of all minorities, minorities have all basic political, social and economic rights including religious freedom.

Congratulating the Masih community on the occasion of Easter, Asif Zardari said that the festival of Easter brings a message of hope, love and prosperity.

He said that the Christian community is a valuable asset of Pakistan, our Christian brothers and sisters have actively participated in the development and prosperity of Pakistan, today we appreciate the role of minorities in the development of Pakistan.

The President said that the Constitution of Pakistan guarantees the rights of all minorities, minorities have all basic political, social and economic rights including religious freedom.

He said that Pakistan is determined to protect the rights of minorities and take measures for their prosperity.

He further said that for the development and prosperity of the country, the entire nation, including the minorities, must work together.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has said that I will stop every look, every hand towards the minorities with iron hands.

Maryam Nawaz while addressing the Easter ceremony in Sheikhupura said that I wish you all a happy Easter, I have come to share in your happiness, I cannot express my happiness in words.

She said that many people said in their speech today that it has never happened that an official has come like this on the occasion of Easter, so I have come to tell you that you are mine and I am yours.

He said that there was a time when our NAB court used to go round in the morning and evening. When I went to the NAB court, I used to look at the board of ‘Mariamabad’ and my heart wanted to come here. I am happy today in Maryamabad. Had a chance to come.
