Sleep is sultan. The time the body needs to restore balance and continue living in a healthy way. Many suffer from difficulty sleeping at night, as a result of the pressures of work and life, or having a health problem that impedes sleep at night..so what happens to the body?

Sleep plays an essential role in the functioning of almost all body systems, so continued lack of sleep poses significant risks to physical and mental health, such as:
Cardiovascular disease: Studies have found strong associations between poor sleep at night and cardiovascular problems, including high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, heart attack, and stroke.
Diabetes: Insufficient sleep affects the body’s ability to regulate blood sugar, which increases the risk of developing metabolic diseases such as diabetes.
Obesity: Research has found that people tend to consume more calories and carbohydrates.
Immunodeficiency: Lack of sleep has been linked to a deterioration in immune function, which helps increase your chances of getting sick.
Hormonal abnormalities: Sleep helps the body to produce and regulate different hormone levels properly, and not sleeping at night may increase the chances of exposure to disease.
Pain: People who don’t get enough hours of sleep at night are more likely to have pain or worsen pain. Pain may cause more interruptions in sleep, creating a negative cycle of pain and sleep aggravation.
