Faced with a debt of nearly six and a half billion euros, the Casino group has no choice but to sell 119 of its supermarkets throughout France to its competitor Intermarché. 57 will be sold immediately and 62 over the next three years. Operations that will strengthen the equity of the empire of Jean-Charles Naouri by more than one billion euros. But they will result in the loss of 4,000 jobs.
