From today until Sunday, October 8, the 18th City Book Fair will take place at the Cipolletti Cultural Complex (Fernández Oro 57). Under the motto “Sowing words«, the meeting will bring together regional booksellers and publishers, local and national writers and an increasingly restless public interested in the cultural proposals that the fair will offer. Because it is not only regarding books and readings, but also regarding cinema, music and performing arts, among other expressions.
One of the reasons for this fair to be what it is is directly related to the space in which it will take place: the Cipolletti Cultural Complex. With its rooms, rooms and multi-spaces, the CCC became a unique place in the region. Everything that happens there during the next ten days will have to do with the Fair. By case, the Lorenzo Kelly room will screen three films related to books and literature: “The Captive Books”, “Let’s Walk Valentina” and “Bahía Blanca” (see below).
The activities for the new edition of the Cipolletti Book Fair will take place from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is free. The fair will be attended by more than 60 writers, and more than 50 stands, talks, conversations, reading cycles and book presentations, among other activities.
The Secretary of Culture, Silvia Seisdedos, expressed her enthusiasm for the fair, given the great turnout they had from all the sectors involved, writers, booksellers, publishers. “We hope that families from Cipole and neighboring towns will come and actively participate in the exhibitions, workshops, and all the scheduled activities. Let it be a space to approach the written word.”
