“The main tasks for the head of the library are to improve the services provided, to promote creativity, innovation and community participation by using the infrastructure of the library, which has an excellent strategic position in the city of Klaipėda, and the valuable documentary cultural heritage fund of the Klaipėda region that is kept here”, – the report quoted Vice Minister of Culture Rimantas Mikaitis.
According to him, it is also important to further promote the cooperation of libraries in the Klaipėda and Tauragė regions, carrying out joint activities, projects, and exchanging experience.
Candidates for library managers must have a university education and a master’s degree or an equivalent higher education qualification, as well as speak Lithuanian and at least one of the three official working languages of the European Union, know the Constitution, the Labor Code, and know document management.
The remuneration offered to the manager is from 3,785 euros before taxes.
Applicants’ requests to participate in the competition are accepted until April 16 of this year.
Since 2019, the library has been managed by Laura Juchnevič.
