Specialized Jordanian rescue teams managed to retrieve the body of a deceased person from the rubble of a collapsed apartment building in the Weibdeh area of the Jordanian capital, Amman, according to what the media spokesman for the Jordanian security, Colonel Amer Sartawi, told Al Arabiya.net.
All cadres of the Public Security Directorate are still dealing with the incident to search for those trapped.
And 14 injured were evacuated following the collapse of the 4-storey residential building in the Al-Weibdeh area in the capital, Amman.
In statements to Al Arabiya.net, the directorate confirmed that it was still dealing with the event, noting that there were a number of people trapped in the collapse of the building in Al Weibdeh.
The Jordanian Prime Minister, Bisher Al-Khasawneh, was present, in addition to a number of ministers, at the site of the collapse.
The directorate indicated that there were injuries due to the collapse of the building, and some of them suffered from suffocation, so they were provided with oxygen.
