The collaboration between Schauspiel Frankfurt and Hugendubel Frankfurt Steinweg will continue on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 14:00 on the 1st floor with a moderated lecture on Virginia Woolf: “God knows, this particular self hangs to my heart’s content!” when the actress Annie Nowak reads Excerpts from Virginia Woolf’s novel “Orlando”. The event will be moderated by managing playwright Katrin Spira, who will also provide insight into the eventful life of the English author (1882-1941), the story of how the novel came to be and the adaptation for the stage in the theater .
The reading is also intended to arouse curiosity regarding the production “Orlando – A Biography,” which has been seen at the Schauspielhaus since the beginning of the season with Annie Nowak in one of the leading roles.
The Schauspiel Frankfurt and Hugendubel Frankfurt enter into an inspiring and exciting artistic collaboration until June 2024 to combine literature and theater in a unique way. In the period from April 6 to June 30, 2024, there will be several readings and discussions with ensemble members of the Schauspiel Frankfurt, who will provide background information and inspiration for current pieces.
