“Climate: The Movie – The Cold Truth” was launched at the end of March. There are now eight translations available and millions have seen the documentary regarding the supposed climate emergency. Countless comments, both positive and negative, on social media show that the well-known British documentary filmmaker Martin Durkin has hit a nerve.
In fact, Durkin, who learned his craft at the British Channel 4 and has also worked for Discovery and National Geographic, has created a masterpiece. Step by step, top-class scientists explain how the climate has been constantly changing for millions of years – and why humans can hardly have any influence on it.
One might argue that it is primarily older scientists who have already completed their careers who have their say. But these also clearly explain why young skeptics are better off keeping their mouths shut. The fueled climate hysteria is a billion-dollar business that tolerates no contradiction and has corrupted science. Anyone who deviates from the popular narrative is mercilessly sorted out.
Climate fanatics immediately provided proof of the crime – and tried to block the film through mass denunciations on social media. The entry for the film has been suspended on Wikipedia and it was temporarily blocked on the online platform Vimeo. But the mass distribution via countless accounts on YouTube and X can no longer be stopped.
Is “The Cold Truth” the ultimate truth? Certainly not. The ever-changing climate is a complex matter. People are far from understanding the mechanisms. A constant in human history, however, is the fear of the end of the world, which is mercilessly fueled, exploited and profitably managed by those in power.
Whether you share Martin Durkin’s thesis or not, it is definitely worth discussing. But the established media, which celebrated the filmmaker two decades ago, remains silent. In the long run, they are digging their own grave. Durkin is no longer dependent on them – and neither does anyone who wants to form their own opinion.
