Abel Guzmán, the murderer of the colorist in Recoleta
The search to find Abel Guzmán – the coiffeur who murdered his partner, the colorist Germán Medina, with a shot in the head – continues with several clues.
Judge Javier Sánchez Sarmiento entrusted the investigation to the Homicide Division of the City Police, as well as its Fugitive Search Division and the UFECRI, the area for capturing evaders of the Attorney General’s Office headed by prosecutor José Campagnoli, as confirmed by sources. police to Infobae.
The secrecy in the case is almost absolute. The high media exposure of the event, with the video of the moment of the crime going viral on social networks and WhatsApp messages two hours following it occurred, is equivalent to a high risk of leaking that might harm the case.
However, sources in the case told this media that today the relatives of Guzmán, a neighbor of Merlo, are being closely monitored. Also, cell phone companies were required to record impacts on antennas, to follow a possible leak trail. Several of the possible witnesses who spoke in various media have not yet testified in the file.
The victim was murdered by a co-worker, who is a fugitive
The crime was committed on Wednesday night at the Verdini hair salon on Beruti Street, a beauty salon frequented by various celebrities such as Julieta Poggio, former Big Brother: Molina, precisely, was Poggio’s colorist.
While a group of employees were sitting in a circle, hairdresser Abel Guzmán rebuked them and shot the colorist. One by one, the employees left the place, but Medina remained there, calm. Then, Guzmán, filmed by a security camera, opened fire. He managed to escape thanks to an individual who opened a window for him. Thus, he gained the street, with an escape route that the authorities are still studying.
Medina, 33 years old and with a long career in his field just like Guzmán, was taken with signs of life by SAME personnel to the Fernández Hospital, but died a few minutes later. The motive for the attack is still unknown.
Police sources reported that, apparently, there was an internal discussion in which Guzmán’s colleagues – who had worked there for more than seven years – reproached him for being violent and “not doing well.” For now, nothing is known regarding the murderer, who according to Marina, the victim’s sister, is a native of Santiago del Estero and was always conflictive.
“I know there were problems, but never to get to this point. “I’m afraid that she has already run away,” said the young woman, who assured that there was some tension between her brother and the shooter due to “client and agenda issues.”
