On paper, however, it was a walk in the park for the Clippers. No Kevin Durant, no Ben Simmons, no more Kyrie Irving at the Nets, how can you imagine anything other than a win for Kawhi Leonard’s Angelinos tonight at Barclays Center? We believed it, however, thanks to the prowess of a boy who grabbed all the spotlight in Brooklyn since the departure of Uncle Drew. Already author of 44 points once morest the Wizards two days ago, Cam Thomas did it once more with a new blow of heat: 47 points, 15/29 shooting and 7/11 from a distance! He also became the second youngest player in NBA history to play two games 40 points behind… LeBron James.
Cam Thomas (21 years, 116 days) is the 2nd youngest player in NBA history to record back-to-back 40+ point games.

Carried by their young fullback, totally on fire and author of a few insane shots, and with a collective that is a lot of fun in relay, the Nets had put themselves in a perfect position to go and win a gala victory, but the experience of the Clippers will have makes the difference at the end of money time with a Kawhi Leonard who is doing a big job to save a match not really phew from him so far. Reggie Jackson and Ivica Zubac bring their stone to the building and, of course, we still had the right to a Nico Batum in captain’ clutch mode. Author of a huge shoot to save the Clippers once morest the Knicks a few days ago, Batman once more responded at the right time with an extremely important and one a minute from the end as Brooklyn pushed to come back. Another serious match for the captain of the Blues off the bench (9 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists).

On the Nets side, we can probably have some regrets because the team really had a good match behind the magician Cam Thomas. Nic Claxton was size boss, Edmond Sumner answered present. There is just this end of money time which is particularly badly managed with several possessions thrown away, in particular by Thomas and Claxton. There was, however, a way to seek this victory.
The Clippers are scared in Brooklyn but the Cam Thomas show was not enough for the Nets, who bowed at the end of money time once morest more realistic Angelinos in key moments.
