A political declaration in the National Congress aims to nationalize concern regarding the unfinished work of expanding the Provincial Route 7 between Centenario and Vista Alegre, paralyzed several months ago.
It was made by the National Deputy Pablo Cervi (Together for Change) who used the tool he has as a legislator to present a draft declaration in the Chamber of Deputies of the Nation in which he expressed concern regarding non-compliance with deadlines and conditions stipulated for the execution of the repair and duplication works of the road on Provincial Route No. 7.
This work was awarded in 2021 to the joint venture of the companies Rovella Carranza and CN Sapag and It is financed by National Highways through an agreement reached with the Province.
This is a section of vital importance that runs from the second Centenario roundregarding to the roundregarding at the intersection with Provincial Route No. 51.
The draft declaration seeks to urge the Ministry of Public Works of the Nation, through the National Directorate of Roads, to «take immediate action to drive completion
of these works, which are financed with funds from the national treasury.
Cervi added that “these works are not only crucial to guarantee efficient road circulation, but also to support the development of unconventional hydrocarbons in the Añelo area, boost the regional fruit and vegetable and wine industryand strengthen the tourism industry.
He warned that failure to comply with the deadlines and conditions established in International Public Tender No. 1/2021 and related and complementary Tenders “generates legitimate concern in the community,” because “These works are fundamental not only for the economic progress of the region, but also to guarantee road safety and protect the lives of the people who travel this important route daily..
In his foundations, the deputy described that the duplication of the roadway of Provincial Route No. 7 covers a stretch of 8.5 kilometers, from the second Centenario roundregarding to
the intersection with Provincial Route No. 51.
«This work is crucial to alleviate the intense traffic – he explained – that this road receives, especially cargo vehicles, oil personnel, vprivate vehicles and tourist services. The work includes the construction of a new roundregarding at the intersection of both routes«.
He regretted that the work currently “presents serious deficiencies, with potholes, lack of signage and dangerous conditions on the route and the roundregarding, which causes accidents and traffic delays«.
