When, in 2008, American journalist Justin Fenton joined the Baltimore Sun to cover crime, he inherited a post steeped in history. It was in this office that, some fifteen years earlier, David Simon wrote the investigation that was to make him an influential figure in the United States. “Baltimore”, an investigative jewel published in 1991 and adapted into a series by the reporter himself, under the title “The Wire” (“On listening”, in French), plunged readers and spectators into the workings of drug trafficking. that was eating away at one of the most dangerous cities in the country.
