The Covid-19, seasonal flu and bronchiolitis viruses are marking time in Côte-d’Or and Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. This is what the Regional Health Agency notes in its latest update on winter epidemics.
Covid-19 still circulates a lot among vulnerable populations
Regarding the coronavirus, the incidence rate in the general population is now below 100 positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants, both in the region and in our department. It remains above this symbolic threshold in Haute-Saône (117 per 100,000) and in Nièvre (123 per 100,000).
On the other hand, the incidence rate for people aged over 65 is still particularly high: it stands at 163 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in Côte-d’Or. Sign that the Covid-19 circulates particularly among fragile populations.
As for the positivity rate, i.e. the percentage of positive tests out of all the tests carried out, it has already fallen below the alert threshold in several departments: Doubs, Jura, Yonne and the Territoire de Belfort. In Côte-d’Or, it is close to the alert threshold.
Regarding influenza and bronchiolitis, the region remains in the epidemic phase. Nevertheless, Public Health France observes a decrease in activity, as indicated by the ARS in its press release.
