The University of Montreal Hospital Center (CHUM) Foundation will launch its fundraising campaign on Thursday with the “ambitious” objective of raising $200 million by 2028.
These funds would allow CHUM teams to better develop precision medicine and offer “world-class” health care to Quebecers, according to a press release from the organization, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
“With this campaign, we are giving ourselves every chance to revolutionize medicine,” Frédéric Abergel, president and CEO of the CHUM, said in writing, saluting all those who are committed to the hospital establishment.
“Thanks to your support, you are ensuring a source of additional funding for the CHUM which accelerates technological development and which enables excellence in care, research and teaching,” he mentioned.
The organization will unveil the list of 27 personalities making up its campaign cabinet which will be co-chaired by Maxime Ménard, president and CEO of Jarislowsky Fraser, and Pascal Tremblay, president and CEO and managing partner at Novacap.
“The mission of our campaign office is audacious, but extremely important for current and future patients,” said Pascale Bouchard, president and general director of the Fondation du CHUM.
