When Mariah Carey’s old hit “All I Want For Christmas Is You” tops the charts, you know the holiday season is back.
GfK Entertainment’s weekly ranking of Germany’s top country songs and recordings revealed on Friday that Carey’s 1994 Christmas classic was once more number one in Germany as the month of December kicked off.
It was followed by the song “Last Christmas” by the British band “WAM”, which was released in 1984.
And the song “Merry Christmas Everyone” by Welsh singer Shakin Stevens – released in the eighties of the last century, ranked fifth.
“Not for the Holidays” also took third place, with Peter Fox’s “Zukneft Pink” at number three and “Anhole” by Sam Smith and Kim Petras at number four.
