The agency stated, in its statement, that the probe has been operating in the orbit of Mars for a period of 526 days, at a distance of 3.5 million km from Earth. The photo transfer period took regarding 19.5 minutes.

This Chinese probe was launched on July 23, 2020 from Wenchang Spaceport in the south of the country, using the CZ-5 Heavy Launch Vehicle.
After the lander lands, the orbiter continues to move around Mars, completing a complete orbit around the planet in two Mars days (24 hours and 39 minutes).
The main mission of this probe is to relay information from the Chinese Mars rover.
