The Chinese BMW RT, the Jedi Motor 750 GT, lands in Europe and costs almost half as much – Todocircuito.com

The Chinese invasion continues. But no, we are not talking about cheap phones, technology or clothes, but about a tourer motorcycle, and not just any motorcycle, but one that promises to tickle the price of the almighty BMW R1250RT. Its name? Jedi Motor 750 GT. Its origin? China, of course, although with an Italian touch that does not go unnoticed.

This is not your typical “cheap copy” story. The Jedi Motor 750 GT has been designed by Marabese, a famous Italian designer, the same genius who has worked with brands such as Moto Guzzi and Piaggio. And the truth is that its appearance does not leave anyone indifferent, with lines that, if you were to see them up close, you could mistake them for the more expensive BMW R1250RT.

But let’s get down to business. What’s so special about this Chinese bike? Well, for starters, it’s no newbie to the road. Its twin sister, the police version, has been riding in China for some time, taking law enforcement officers at full speed through the busy streets of the Asian country. The 750 GT is the “civilized” version of that same model, and is now about to land in Europe with a very attractive proposal.

The engine is a 730 cc parallel twin, developed by none other than Suter Racing, a Swiss company with experience in MotoGP. This small engine generates 82 horsepower and 70 Nm of torque, enough performance to ride comfortably, without great sporting pretensions. However, do not expect traction control or super advanced driving modes here, The only electronic thing is the ABS. Yes, you read that right: a 2024 motorcycle without traction control.

What they don’t sacrifice is comfort and detail. The 750 GT comes loaded with all the technology one could ask for in a long-distance tourer: LED lights, front camera, electric windshield, electrically adjustable seat, and heated handlebars and seat. The instrument panel is a full-colour TFT screen, so you don’t lose sight of a single piece of data while you eat up kilometres of asphalt.

The Jedi Motor 750 GTwith its 225 kg empty weight and a design that may seem somewhat roughit is not going to dethrone the RT in terms of refinement. But beware, it is not designed for that either. The 750 GT is an accessible alternative, much cheaper (around 15,000 euros compared to the 23,730 euros of the BMW R1250RT) and with a value proposition that will attract those who want to travel in comfort without leaving an arm and a leg on the purchase.

The driving position is comfortable, Although the bike is narrower and has a seat height of only 78 cmideal for those who are less than two meters tall. In the city it moves surprisingly well, with a correct weight distribution that makes it easy to handle in low speed maneuvers. It is not a feather, but it does not feel clumsy. The engine has good response in the first gears, although to get the best out of it, you have to take it above 3,000 rpm, where it begins to show its character.

Where it shines most is in its ability to devour kilometers without tiring the rider. It is a motorcycle designed for long distances, with a 24 litre tank that promises good autonomyalthough the consumption figures are not yet entirely clear. With a considerable weight and Brembo braking that performs without any fuss, it is a tourer in every sense of the word.

In short, the Jedi Motor 750 GT is a very serious option in the mid-range touring motorcycle market. It is a bike that combines Italian design, Swiss engineering and Chinese manufacturingwith a price that makes it an interesting alternative for those looking for good value for money without sacrificing too much performance. However, BMW purists will probably remain loyal to the German brand.
