The children’s sound cloud invites you to the “Circus – Circus”

Circus atmosphere blows through the workshops of the Linz children’s cultural center Kuddelmuddel all year round. It inspired its director Manfred Forster to come up with the idea for the children’s sound cloud on September 8th in Linz’s Danube Park: Under the motto “Circus – Circus”, the banks of the Danube will be transformed into a large circus ring for “a story that moves, arouses emotions and encourages people to believe in themselves and the positive,” says Forster.

It was invented by Susanne Stemmer, who sent the children’s Klangwolke visitors on a musical adventure treasure hunt last year with “Ilvie Little”. The treasure that needs to be found and preserved this time is the dreams of the people that were stolen from them. Their search leads two children, Frida and Sven, to an old circus, “the last place of dreams,” says Stemmer.

Music like from a Fellini film

There, “shrill, strange characters” and a circus director await. “We’re turning the role stereotypes around, there will be diversity,” promises Stemmer. And of course music – “old, romantic, like from a Fellini film,” says composer Titus Vadon, drummer of the band Drahdiwaberl, where it will “rumble and crash like in an old circus,” says the “Russkaja” founding member. Everyone will learn a simple choreography together.

From 2.30 p.m., the mood will be set for the open-air musical (4 p.m.) – with everything that goes with a circus, such as a fortune-teller’s tent. Visitors can also try juggling and stilt walking.
