Arthur and Maria, the Lorenzon grandparents, arrived from Italy in the 1950s and acquired four hectares of vines. The property was developed (purchases, plantations) to reach fifteen hectares in 1983. During the twenty years which followed, an agricultural Group of exploitation in common, composed of Jean-Paul, the father of Marie-Audrey, and of his uncle, worked the vines. Marie Audrey worked there regularly while tracing her professional career in label printing. In 2003, a division is made in three (Jean-Paul, the uncle and the aunt). The latter sold and Jean-Paul Lorenzon created the SCEA Vignobles JP Lorenzon with its five hectares.
A few months ago, the idea of stopping the activity began to dawn on Jean-Paul, who was considering selling. This was the trigger for Marie-Audrey who might not bring herself to lose this family heritage inherited from her grandparents. She therefore decided to take over the property in which she grew up with the (indispensable) support of her husband Dimitry (both have three children). “I have to try, I would have regretted not doing it,” she explains. With a head full of ideas to develop the operation, she started with tasting evenings at home once a month which allow her to develop her network.
Appetizers
Among the other innovations introduced by the young winegrower, the Château Tour Guillotin Apéros (charcuterie and cheese platter accompanied by three wines) which she has been offering since the beginning of June. There are still three appointments left: this Friday, July 1 and Friday, August 5 and 12.
