The “chaos” of the Good Move plan for businesses: “How do you want to attract customers?”

Many of them already found traffic and parking difficult in the Brussels region. But for 90% of the 150 self-employed and SMEs interviewed by the neutral union for the self-employed, the Good Move plan is making the situation worse.

The survey carried out by the union explains that the Good Move plan impacts the activity of 87% of respondents. Among them, three quarters also explain that their suppliers have had problems since the plan was put in place (particularly for deliveries).

For the union, this finding will inevitably lead to a drop in investment or even layoffs and bankruptcies. (mentioned in 15% of cases)

The departure from Brussels

The Good Move plan and traffic links are far from being implemented throughout the region. However, two thirds of those polled say they are thinking of leaving the Brussels region.

“Indescribable chaos for delivery people, customers from the outskirts who have deserted the center of Brussels”

can we read among the reactions of the respondents.

“How do you attract customers if they have to drive very long minutes to find a parking space? Not everyone has the possibility of taking public transport or walking a long distance easily”laments the union.

However, the union’s survey does not specify in which sectors the respondents are located.
