From the Ministry of Health of Chaco they provided information on the “monkey pox” and they ask those who meet several of the symptoms to isolate themselves.
“It is important that all people who present compatible symptoms, have a history of travel to risk areas or consider exposure with suspected cases, take social isolation measures and consult the health system,” they said.
Monkeypox is a zoonotic disease that can be transmitted between animals and humans.
IMPORTANT RECOMMENDATIONS
Any person who presents compatible symptoms (especially rashes), a history of travel to risk areas and/or involves some exposure with a suspected or confirmed case, must take social isolation measures, implement protection measures (proper use of a mask, environments ventilated and distance between people), and consult with the health system immediately.
HOW DO I KNOW IF I WAS EXPOSED?
- Direct physical contact, including sexual contact.
- Contact with contaminated materials, such as clothing or bedding.
- Exposure without respiratory protection.
THE SYMPTOMS
- Rash on the skin
- Headache
- Sudden onset of fever (greater than 38.5°)
- Muscle pains
- Back pain
- Fatigue
- swollen glands
