The Central Letters of Guarantee continued to grow in the first half

Total borrowings increased by CHF 3.1 billion to a peak of CHF 73.3 billion.

The Bond Office of the Swiss Cantonal Banks continued to grow in the first half. It issued a total of 5.5 billion francs in loans. At the same time, it repaid 2.5 billion maturing.

Total borrowings increased by 3.1 billion and reached a peak of 73.3 billion francs, the central said on Tuesday evening. Since the end of 2021, the increase has been 4.4%.

During the period under review, the profit of the plant fell to 7.6 million francs following 8.1 million the previous year at the same time. As a reminder, the central, common to the 24 cantonal banks, does not aim to make profits.
