The Central African Republic tightens the conditions of detention of the Gabonese businessman –

Ismaël Sylvain Agnagano, boss of two companies including a private security company, was arrested since February 24 in Bangui in the Central African Republic and kept in custody in a police station, has seen his detention conditions tighten, Gabonactu.com learned from his depressed family by this bad news.

« He was placed in solitary confinement », affirmed his father Julien Agnagano speaking to the editorial staff of Gabonactu.com

Before going into solitary confinement, the Gabonese businessman was filmed by people arriving in his cell in yellow uniforms.

The defendant, his lawyer and his family do not know the reasons for the incarceration of Ismaël Sylvain Agnagano.

Unofficial Central African sources maintain that the Gabonese businessman would be prosecuted for espionage. He would have recorded numerous senior Central African officials, including those close to the president of this country, Faustin Archanges Touadera.

Furthermore, the Central Africans would accuse the Gabonese of having usurped Central African nationality and fraudulently obtained a Central African passport.

Victim of jealousy

His father denounces a shameless lie. His son carries a Gabonese passport which expires in 2026 and a Central African Republic residence card which expires in July 2024.

« How a citizen can have both an up-to-date residence permit and a passport from the same country », asked Mr. Agnagano, denouncing in passing a false passport established just to drown his son.

A few months ago, the Gabonese businessman won an international tender to ensure the security of CEMAC premises and staff. It is certainly this juicy deal that gets him into trouble in this sister country of Gabon, according to those close to him.

President of the Gabonese community of Bangui, Ismaël Sylvain Agnagano has lived in this country for almost 8 years. His second company specializes in auditing. It employs a total of 121 Central Africans.

The father of the Gabonese businessman begs Presidents Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguéma (Gabon) and Faustin Archanges Touadera (Central African Republic) to help his son get out of this dangerous situation.
