Cattle breeders from all over Indonesia appreciate the breakthrough of the Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Andi Amran Sulaiman in requiring industrial business actors to absorb milk from people’s cows on a large scale.
For livestock breeders, this breakthrough deserves a thumbs up because Minister of Agriculture Amran has proven himself to be Mr Clean in the agricultural and livestock sectors.
“We positively welcome the agreement facilitated by the government, in this case a direct breakthrough from the Minister of Agriculture (Amran Sulaiman) as Mr Clean who asked companies to absorb the people’s cow’s milk,” said Chairman of the Indonesian Buffalo Cattle Breeders Association, Nanang Perus Subendro, Monday (11/11 ).

“Farmers really hope for a helping hand from the government by making policies that will make the world of animal husbandry enthusiastic again. “Whether it is in the form of concentrate material subsidies, bank interest subsidies or replacing existing/ex PMK cattle with good and healthy cattle,” he said.
Today, Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman succeeded in bringing together dairy farmers, collectors and the milk processing industry. In this mediation, all parties involved agreed to work together so that domestic milk production could be absorbed.
As a concrete step, the Ministry of Agriculture will change regulations to require the dairy industry to absorb milk from local farmers.
With this policy, the national milk processing industry must be able to absorb all farmers’ milk, unless the milk is damaged. Minister of Agriculture Amran believes that this policy will have an impact on increasing the enthusiasm of dairy farmers in production.
“We hope that industry together with the government will step in to develop farmers and help improve the quality of domestic milk. “This is in accordance with President Prabowo Subianto’s vision, who asked the government to be present in the middle, industry and breeders must be able to grow together,” he explained.
